This Privacy Policy explains how After5 (“After5”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the After5 mobile application and the website at after5.pm (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Phone number. We collect your mobile phone number to create your account and to sign you in.
Profile information. Information you choose to provide, such as your name, age, and photos.
Meetup activity. Which meetups you join or attend, so we can show who is coming and operate the Service.
Device and usage data. Basic technical information (for example device type and app version) needed to run the Service and keep it secure.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account.
Verify your identity and sign you in securely.
Show you and other members who is coming to a meetup.
Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of the Service.
Comply with our legal obligations.

3. SMS text messages for login

We use your phone number to send you automated SMS text messages for login and account-security purposes — specifically, one-time verification codes (OTPs) that confirm your identity when you sign in. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive these messages.

These are transactional messages required to operate the Service; they are not marketing. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan, and message frequency depends on how often you sign in. To deliver these codes we share your phone number with our SMS provider solely for the purpose of sending the message. We do not sell your phone number or use it for advertising.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With other members — limited profile and attendance information so members can see who is coming to a meetup.
With service providers — such as our SMS, hosting, and infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf and only as needed to run the Service.
For legal reasons — when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of members or the public.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your profile information in the app, and you can delete your account at any time. 8. Children

After5 is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
